UK Streaming Price Tracker — Every Major Service, One Table

Last updated

As of 2026-08-10, the UK streaming prices in force are: Netflix £5.99–£18.99/month, Disney+ £5.99–£14.99, the online retailer's streaming service £8.99 (£95/year), Apple TV+ £9.99, ITVX Premium £5.99, the satellite entertainment streaming pass £9.99, the satellite sports streaming pass £34.99, the Champions League broadcaster's streaming pass £30.99, the boxing streaming service £9.99, and the TV Licence at £174.50/year. The full tier-by-tier table below is re-checked quarterly, and every documented price rise is logged with its source.

How to read the table

The tables are grouped by category, then by service. A service with several tiers takes several rows: the name appears once and each tier underneath it is a separate product with its own price. Read across a single row for one tier's full picture.

  • Tier — the provider's own name for the plan. Names change more often than prices, so match on price and features before assuming a row is stale.
  • Monthly — the standard rolling monthly price for a new subscriber, the figure to compare services on.
  • Annual — the up-front yearly price where the provider sells one. A dash means none is published; it is never calculated from the monthly figure.
  • Notes — anything that changes what the price buys: adverts, stream limits, resolution caps or bundle-only plans.

Methodology

Each price is the provider's standard published UK price for the named tier, checked against the provider's own pricing page or a dated public announcement on the date shown (most rows 2026-08-10; the sport-platform rows shared with our cost-of-sport dataset were checked June 2026). Introductory offers, retention deals and bundles are excluded — this tracks the price a new subscriber pays at full rate. To see which of these channels an IPTV subscription carries instead, read what channels you get with IPTV in the UK. The next quarterly check is due in November 2026; corrections between checks are applied as soon as they are reported and the date-modified updated.

How a price is checked

Each row is checked the same way. We open the provider's UK pricing page in a fresh browser session with no account signed in, so no retention or existing-customer price is shown. We record the tier name, the price as displayed, any condition attached to it and the date; an offer price is replaced by the standard price it reverts to.

What counts as a price change

A change is logged when the standard price of an existing tier moves, when a tier is withdrawn, or when a new tier launches. It is not logged when only the tier name changes, when a temporary offer starts or ends, or when a price differs by payment route. Nothing enters the log from memory, forum posts or screenshots we cannot trace.

What the numbers mean for a household

Nobody pays for one service. To see what streaming costs you, pick the exact tier you use for each service, add the monthly figures and multiply by twelve, then add the TV Licence if anyone watches live television or uses BBC iPlayer.

Two checks cut the total without losing anything. An ad-supported tier often carries the same library as the tier above it, so the extra spend buys only the absence of adverts. And where an annual price exists, compare it with twelve monthly payments for services you know you will keep all year.

A satellite or cable package is usually the largest single line, so price it separately. Our guide to cancelling satellite TV in the UK covers notice periods and what to check before you leave.

If a price looks wrong

Most mismatches are the gap between the published price and what one customer pays, not an error in the table. Work through these first.

My bill is higher than the monthly figure

Likely cause: A mid-contract rise, a bundle or an app-store subscription billed at a different rate.

Check: Compare the tier name and price on your account page with the row here.

Fix: If the provider's own pricing page now shows a higher standard price, send a correction with the link.

My bill is lower than the monthly figure

Likely cause: An introductory offer, a retention discount or a legacy plan no longer sold.

Check: Look for an end date or an 'offer' label on your billing page.

Fix: No correction needed. The table tracks the full standard price a new subscriber pays.

The tier name does not match the provider's site

Likely cause: Providers rename plans more often than they reprice them.

Check: Match on price and the features in the Notes column rather than the name.

Fix: If price and features line up, the row is current. If the price has moved too, send a correction.

Deciding whether to consolidate

This tracker suits anyone who needs a sourced, dated figure to cite, and any household wondering whether several small subscriptions have become one large bill. For the second group, the useful question is not which service is cheapest but which ones you would miss.

Run the free 24-hour trial of an IPTV service alongside your current subscriptions and test the things you pay for now: the live channels you watch most, a weekend fixture at peak time, the EPG and 7-day catch-up for a programme you missed, and a 4K stream on your main television. Keep the services that still earn their place and cancel the rest. Flickhaven plans are prepaid with no contract and no auto-renewal, so the comparison can run for a single month first.

Tracker FAQ

How often are these prices updated?+

The full table is re-checked against each provider's published UK pricing page quarterly — the current baseline was checked on 10 August 2026 and the next check is due in November 2026. Documented price changes between checks are added to the change log with a source as they are announced.

Why does my bill differ from the price listed here?+

The table lists each provider's standard published UK price. Introductory offers, bundle deals, annual billing, mid-contract rises and legacy grandfathered plans all produce different real-world bills. Where an annual price exists we list it alongside the monthly one.

Do I need a TV Licence on top of streaming subscriptions?+

You need a TV Licence (£174.50/year in 2026) to watch or record any live TV on any service or channel, and to use BBC iPlayer at all. Watching only on-demand, non-BBC content — Netflix or Disney+ box sets — does not require one.

What has gone up most recently?+

Per the change log below: Netflix raised its UK Standard plan from £10.99 to £12.99 and its ad tier from £4.99 to £5.99 in 2026, Apple TV+ went from £8.99 to £9.99 in August 2025, and ITVX Premium rose from £3.99 to £5.99. Each entry links to its source.

Why do some rows show a dash in the annual column?+

A dash means the provider does not publish an annual price for that tier. We never estimate one by multiplying the monthly figure, because an annual plan is a separate product with its own terms.

Are introductory offers and bundles counted as price changes?+

No. Time-limited offers, retention discounts and bundle-only prices are excluded. The table and change log track the standard price a new subscriber pays at full rate, so a change only counts when that standard price moves.

Do the prices include VAT?+

Yes. UK consumer prices are published inclusive of VAT, and we record them exactly as the provider displays them to a UK customer.

Why were the sport rows checked on a different date?+

The sport-platform rows are shared with our cost-of-sport dataset and were checked when it was compiled, so the two pages never disagree. They join the same quarterly cycle as the rest of the table from the next scheduled check.
