Installing on iPhone or iPad

Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
Search for Smarters Player Lite

Press the "Add User" button. The app connects to the server and loads your full playlist. First load takes 30–60 seconds depending on connection speed.
5Browse your content▼
Navigate via the bottom tabs: Live TV (all live channels with EPG), Movies (VOD films), Series (TV series with episodes), and Catch-Up (where available). Your EPG TV guide is automatically populated — no additional setup needed.
Adding Subscription via M3U URL
Tap Add User
On the Smarters Player Lite home screen, tap "Add User".
Select Enter URL (Playlist)
Choose "Enter URL (Playlist)" from the login method options.
Enter a playlist name
Type any label for this playlist (e.g., "Flickhaven M3U").
Paste your M3U URL
Paste your Flickhaven M3U URL into the URL field. This URL is in your welcome email and typically looks like: http://server.com:port/get.php?username=XXX&password=XXX&type=m3u_plus
Tap Add
Press Add. Channels load within 1–2 minutes depending on your playlist size. A progress indicator shows loading status.

Using Xtream Codes

- 1.Go to app Settings → EPG URL.
- 2.Paste your Flickhaven XMLTV EPG URL (provided in your welcome email) into the EPG URL field.
- 3.Tap Save. EPG loads within 3–5 minutes on first use. Force refresh from the settings menu if needed.
Tips for Best Performance on Apple Devices
4K on Apple TV: use Ethernet
Connect Apple TV via Ethernet using a Lightning-to-Ethernet adapter (older models) or USB-C Ethernet adapter (Apple TV 4K 3rd gen). Ethernet is far more stable than Wi-Fi for 4K streams.
Enable Hardware Accelerated Decoding
In Smarters Player Lite, go to Settings → Player → enable Hardware Accelerated Decoding. This uses your device's dedicated video chip for smoother 4K playback and lower battery drain.
Use Xtream Codes over M3U
Xtream Codes gives you better EPG integration and automatic series organisation with seasons and episodes. M3U works well but requires a separate EPG URL and lacks native series hierarchy.
Add key channels to Favourites
Long-press any channel and select "Add to Favourites". Favourited channels appear at the top of your Live TV list for instant access from the home screen.

Tap the user icon in the top-right corner and select "Refresh Playlist". If the problem persists, delete the profile and re-add it with your credentials.

Toggle airplane mode on and off to refresh your network connection. Switch from Wi-Fi to 4G/5G (or vice versa) to test which connection is more stable. Also try closing other background apps.

Connect Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi. In app Settings, switch the player to Software Decoder mode. Also check that your router firmware is up to date and that no other devices are saturating your connection.

Go to app Settings → EPG URL → paste your Flickhaven XMLTV URL → Save. Then force-refresh EPG from the settings menu. EPG can take 3–5 minutes to fully populate on first load.
✗App crashes or freezes on launch▼
Force-close the app (swipe up from app switcher) and relaunch. If the issue persists, delete and reinstall Smarters Player Lite from the App Store. Your playlists are stored on the server so you only need to re-enter credentials.
